November 2010
On November 26, 2010, First Lady Michelle Obama warmly welcomed the arrival of the White House Christmas tree. This magnificent 18.5-foot Douglas-fir traveled from the Crystal Springs Tree Farm in Pennsylvania to become the stunning centerpiece of the Blue Room.
President Obama awarded the 2010 National Medal of Arts and the National Humanities Medal to 20 distinguished honorees in a prestigious ceremony held in the East Room of the White House. World Footprints was honored to attend and witness this celebration of artistic and scholarly excellence.
World Footprints bust some myths with Tory Belleci, co-host of Discovery Channel’s Mythbusters. Since joining Mythbusters, Tory has jumped out of planes, wake-boarded behind a cruise ship, and been chased by a crocodile.
