Air Jamaica Cutbacks
In it’s 40-year history as Jamaica’s flag carrier, Air Jamaica is now planning a series of cutbacks in response to economic challenges. Starting on February 26, 2009, Air Jamaica will cease flying from Atlanta, Los Angeles and Miami. Bruce Nobles, chief executive at Air Jamaica states that “this is without question our most challenging time. We are doing everything possible to minimize the impact on the Air Jamaica family, including voluntary redundancies and leaves of absence.”

My brother has a blog similar to yours but it is written in Spanish. I like yours better to be honest.

Most of the airlines are doing the same thing. No refund, must use your ticket within 365 days of purchase. I had the same situation on 2 other carriers.

Air Jamaica is in the process of selling out to Spirit Airlines. They have the exact “no-refund” policy. Air travel to Jamaica is only going to become worse due to Spirit Airlines taking over Air Jamaica. Fly American Airlines or Delta instead to the island.
