Airline Security Screenings Heightened and Mishap Under Review

AirplaneThe botched terriorism attack on a U.S. Airline by the suspected 23-year-old Nigerian, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, continues to raise many questions.  How is it possible that in this Post 911 era an individual who appears on the terriort watch list and was brought to the attention of officials by his own father, can pass through two security checks and board a US bound flight with a known chemical agent? 

According to White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, the list does not automatically bring tighter screening of individuals.  However, President Obama has ordered a full review of security procedures for determining which people on the terriorist watch list must undergo stricter security scrutiny.   Read FULL STORY.
