The people of Haiti need our assistance more than ever.  The needs continue to mount for basic necessities like clean water, food, shelter, clothing and first-aid supplies.  Additionally, many family members have yet to connect with or locate their loved ones. Below is a “Person Finder” to assist families with information.  Also, a long list of charitable organizations that are assisting in the Haiti relief efforts with supplies of basic necessities is provided below.  Please note that some of the organizations will require you to specify your donation for “Haiti Disaster Relief.”

Charitable organizations offering support for Haiti: 

•  Clinton Bush Haiti Fund

• UNICEF (1-800-4UNICEF):  UNICEF is deploying clean water and sanitation supplies, therapeutic foods, medical supplies and temporary shelter to Jacmel and Port-au-Prince. UNICEF will also be focusing on children who have become separated from their families to protect them from harm or exploitation.
•  Greater Washington Haitian Relief Committee (GWHRC):  In the Washington DC area, GWHRC, a coalition of Haitian organizations and associations based in Washington, coordinates many of the relief efforts in the nation’s capital.  Their crisis center is currently being hosted in the Haitian Embassy.  Please click here, for a compilation page of other relief efforts in the Washington, DC area.
• Chefs for Humanity: In partnership with the UN World Food Program, Chefs For Humanity launched an online fundraising campaign for Haiti called “1 MILLION in 1 MONTH.”
